In this article, we would like to give our recommendations on hardware that we can vouch for (and that won’t break the bank!).
We will be actively updating this article when we get a hold of new hardware and have had ample time to test them against our products, so if something doesn’t fit your needs, check back soon!
Any Android phone running “Android 13.0” or higher will work with the latest versions of Agility Assistant from the Google Playstore; however, there may be a notable performance difference depending on what brand you choose. Within house, we have tested all our versions against the following devices, with a wide range of features :
Ulefone Armor 22 : Budget Friendly, Indestructible Build Quality, Smooth User Experience and a number of good cameras for Barcode / QR Code Scanning
Ulefone Note 16 : Budget-Friendly, Good Build Quality, Smooth User Experience, and a Decent Camera for Barcode / QR Code Scanning
Samsung S10 Lite : Brilliant Build Quality, Flawless User Experience, and an Amazing Camera for Barcode / QR Code Scanning
Zebra MC2700 : Rugged Build Quality, Flawless User Experience, and Built in Barcode / QR scanner
Please Note : Android GO and anything before Android 11 will not be compatible
Similarly, many barcode scanners will work with both our desktop and mobile devices; however, we highly recommend the following :
Tera Portable Barcode Scanner : Budget Friendly, Pairs very easily over Bluetooth, tried and tested with latest versions of Agility Assistant
Honeywell : Rugged build quality, Used for many years by ourselves and many of our clients, Plug and play via USB
We have done a lot of testing with a wide range of printers from many brands; some have worked better than others, so here are our recommendations :
Zebra ZQ620 : Rugged Build Quality, Pairs easily over Bluetooth so portability is no issue, Works with a wide range of label sizes and heavily used in Agility Assistants Development & Testing
Zebra GK420D : Very Rugged Build Quality, Adaptive to many label sizes and types, Requires minimal setup configuration
